Multitasking and Video

Mr. Bricks AKA Luci

He first got my attention as we were throwing klubbs with GLOBO in Barcelona. He came along a team formed for an iPod battle as hype man and MC. Wearing a southamerican Virgin-raper mask, kicking rhymes in English with such a perfect flow that i first thought he was British with a Latino background. It showed to be only half the truth. But it's not his origins that are interesting about him. He blew me out, with a delicious stage presence and powerful outgoing energy. Later on, as I got introduced to him i found out it was not the only reason to look up to his work: his a multidisciplinary artist. A part from being the funniest, sharpest and most creative MC i've seen in live context from Sweden, he is an extremely talented Video-Director, with a very personal style of narration. Working mostly for underground supernovas like Daniel Savio and even Sweatsky. Rumours transported by Stockholm's Streetjungle drums have told me that he is working on a music project that will probably create a bunch of nice rings on the presently waaaaay to calm waters of the hiphop music and it's traditional dogmas. Many good reasons to keep a hungry eye on this artist: very good reason to hype!

Leo Lyxxx

A piece of the rock from Leolyxxx on Vimeo.

Leo Lyxxx is an illustrator from that type of people who worked themselves to an incredible level of Skills. His lines have a sort of infantile deliciousness: a little bit shaky, a little bit dirty, and always backed up, enhanced and maximised by a natural security in the propos over a natural aise in drawing. The worlds he pictures are often colourful and innocent, while the subject treats issues of pure evil or the typical human behaviour non-sense with everyday poetic situations, magnified in a surreal galssonion.

Leo Lyxxx works in Stockholm as a freelance, (but also with the Recmode Crew) mainly for interesting missions, notably a video for the notorious Swedish rap-artists Timbuktu But he is also an incredible crate-digger, always hunting for the fresh music, preferably the one that unfortunately got forgotten on some dusty b-side. With a broad and interesting knowledge-base of discography. You can catch him playing records at night in bars, or in klubbs he throws in the cosier places of Stockholm City.
